I have multiple projects going on at once but it keeps me busy. Right now the biggest design issue is the shower. I want it to stand out and really “pop” with style. Im going to use redwood and have recessed LED lighting. For now, I started on the bedroom walls. My wife and I decided on tufted walls for a cozy and custom look. Not only will it look awesome but it’s functional as well, providing insulation and sound dampening. I will post photos of it installed soon.
So here it is completed. The round circle next to the window cutout is for the speaker. The button tabs will be covered with the same fabric. |
I would love to get the details on how you did this! We are working on our Argosy to full-time by this fall. Currently, the 'bedroom' walls are covered with a thin layer of pink insulation and on top, is the bathroom shiny wallboard (we didn't do this, but it is nice and new...and very shiny!) Since it is the bedroom and the extra insulation next to the bed will be nice we half though about leaving it. We have our hands full with projects but I love your idea here so much that I would be willing to stay up night and day to make that happen. I would have to mount a cushion to the side of the wall anyway to give some sort of cushion. Do you have any further details on how you did this and materials used for the structure. Great job!
