Took a little trip to Four Peaks

Took Sovvy out to four peaks for the weekend and had a really good time. The weather was perfect all three nights. Some exciting work is on its way! I partially installed the shower but will be finishing it up throughout the week. I plan on using redwood.

Airstream Kitchen backsplash installed

I Used a product called "Smart Tiles" which worked out awesome! I purchased them from home depot. The product went on easy and seem to hold well. The change with the new tiles is awesome. I Also installed the LED lighting under the uppers.  (update as of 10/3/2014- it been almost ten months and the tiles are holding up fine even with temperatures as high as 115 outside)

Airstream Tufted walls for the bedroom

I have multiple projects going on at once but it keeps me busy. Right now the biggest design issue is the shower. I want it to stand out and really “pop” with style. Im going to use redwood and have recessed LED lighting. For now, I started on the bedroom walls. My wife and I decided on tufted walls for a cozy and custom look. Not only will it look awesome but it’s functional as well, providing insulation and sound dampening. I will post photos of it installed soon.

So here it is completed. The round circle next to the window cutout is for the speaker. The button tabs will be covered with the same fabric.

Airstream Speaker Upgrade:

I was really lucky that the MB Quarts speakers that I purchased fit as well as they did. At first, the depth of the speakers was too deep until I attached them to the original speaker grill. It was a perfect fit with the grill. I would say the MB Quart FSB 213 are the largest speakers you can possibly buy using the original Airstream speaker grill

I went with a crossover setup for quality sound. (Notice the tweeter on the left) This was a complete kit containing 2x 5.25 speakers, 2x tweeters and 2x crossovers connectors. We purchased them from “Sonic Electronix” on Ebay.

Perfect fit

Bedroom Speakers: Pioneer TS-g1344R 5.25 speakers

Front room speakers: MB Quart FSB 213

Radio/DVD player:

Radio: BravoIND-5000BT

DVD, CD, MP3 and Blue tooth. Perfect! This thing has everything! It has two video out cables in the back so I will be able to easily connect the living room TV and bedroom TV with no problems.

Airstream slide out pantry complete!

Sweet! We finished installing all the pantry doors and installed the handles. Yesterday I had enough time to finish up the slide out pantry which turned out great.

I used four 24" 100 LBS soft close sliders. It will hold more then enough weight (200lbs total)

After building the four boxes, I set them up on their sides to see how much space i would need. I started with the bottom  and made sure a giant bottle of Jim Beam would fit and then evenly spaced out the rest.

I added the bottom slide out first and then the top slide out.  After both were installed i aligned the door, tacked it into place and then add the two center drawers.

Snug fit.

Completed kitchen pantry with slide out.

Slides out 24". Plenty of space!
